Adult Cleanings and X-Rays

Adult Cleanings

O’Leary Dental Office provides preventive adult cleanings using fluoride treatments to help prevent tooth decay and other serious dental issues. Fluoride works to strengthen the teeth once they have erupted by seeping into the outer surface of the tooth enamel, as well as those that are developing under the gums, making the teeth more resistant to decay.

Dental X-Rays

Dental X-rays are essential for providing valuable information that is not visible during a regular dental exam. Dental X-rays may reveal abscesses or cysts, developmental abnormalities, poor tooth and root positioning, problems inside a tooth or below the gum line, and more. Detecting and treating dental problems at an early stage can save you time, money, unnecessary discomfort, and your teeth.

Early Dental Care- Children’s Dental Care

O’Leary Dental provides quality, comprehensive children’s dentistry, with the objective of creating a safe and fun dental atmosphere your whole family can enjoy. We provide an environment without fear and apprehension so that we may develop a positive, long-lasting relationship with you and your children. Our children’s dentistry emphasizes cavity prevention and good oral hygiene. O’Leary Dental’s comprehensive children’s dentistry includes fillings, stainless steel crowns, pulp therapy, and space maintenance.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry procedures are done to improve their appearance and self-esteem. A healthy, beautiful smile created by O’Leary Dental can really give you that extra boost of confidence you’ve been looking for. We provide procedures such as tooth contouring, filling, reshaping, bonding, whitening, and more!

Tooth Colored Composite Fillings

Tooth discoloration can be caused by staining, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. Some of the more common causes of tooth discoloration are medications, coffee, tea, or cigarettes. People who drink significant amounts of soft drinks can also experience similar staining. Tooth-colored composite fillings are bonded to your teeth, not needing to remove as much of the tooth structure.

Tooth Contouring and Reshaping

Tooth contouring and reshaping are procedures to correct chipped teeth, cracked teeth, or even overlapping teeth in just one session. They produce subtle changes altering the length, shape, or position of your teeth, creating a beautiful smile with no discomfort.

Tooth Restoration

Teeth are constantly susceptible to decay, infection, and breakage and sometimes need help restoring them back to health. Through improved techniques and modern technology, we are now able to offer more options for restoring a tooth back to its normal shape and function. We also provide local anesthetic, Nitrous Oxide, and oraverse which reverse the numbing all at no extra charge. Headphones are available for most treatments, allowing you to listen to any music of your choice.

Bonding

If you have small gaps between your front teeth, or if you have chipped or cracked teeth, you may be a candidate for bonding. Bonding is also used for patients who have discolored teeth, uneven teeth, gum recession, or tooth decay.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is performed to reduce discoloration and staining, or simply to provide the patient with a whiter, brighter smile. Just a subtle change of shades can make a significant difference in a person’s smile. O’Leary Dental promotes Philips ZOOM!, a whitening experience tailored to your needs. Over 10 million patients have had their smiles brightened by a ZOOM! treatment. In office or at home; the choice is yours!

Veneers

Veneers are very thin pieces of porcelain or a composite glued over the front of teeth with little or no anesthesia needed. Veneers are for teeth that are severely discolored, chipped, crooked, or for the correction of unwanted or uneven spaces. Veneers are a very popular solution for many people seeking a perfect smile.

Dental Implants

Implants are titanium posts placed in your jawbone below the gum line, like tooth roots. They can be used to replace a single tooth by placing a crown or bridge on top of the implant and they can help bridge and secure dentures by adding attachments that allow the denture to snap onto the implant.

Endodontics

Endodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry that deals with the complex structures found inside the teeth. O’Leary Dental Office provides care to save teeth from the need for extraction, preventing the loss of dental function and the need for further costly procedures. Some endodontic procedures we perform are root canals, root canal re-treatments, and fixing cracked or chipped teeth.

Signs and symptoms of endodontic problems:

  • Inflammation and tenderness in the gums
  • Teeth that are sensitive to hot and cold foods
  • Tenderness when chewing and biting

Periodontics

O’Leary Dental offers a Perio Protect® system that improves general health of the gum tissues, avoids surgery, and whitens teeth at the same time. Perio Protect® has been a leader in minimally invasive dentistry for the last nine years with a new method that offers people the most gentle, yet effective way possible to fight the bacteria that causes gum disease.

Partial and Complete Dentures

Partial and complete dentures replace missing teeth and can be removed by the patient. Partial dentures are less expensive than bridges and implants. Complete dentures are made of a high-impact acrylic and partial dentures can be made of acrylic or a combination of acrylic and metal. Implants provide a big advantage to denture users because they can help to prevent dentures from ‘floating’, particularly in the lower jaw, and both partial and complete dentures can be anchored by implants.

Full-Face and Cosmetic Orthodontics

Full face orthodontics involves the combination of removable appliances, used to guide growth, and conventional braces, which often can be worn for less time. The goal is to develop the face, and the relationship of the upper and lower arches, to the most esthetic form.

O’Leary Dental uses the Powerprox Six Month Braces® Technique with cosmetic orthodontics because it is a fast and affordable way to give you the smile you always wanted in just six months. The Powerprox Six Month Braces® Technique will move your front teeth to their most beautiful position giving you a great smile. Whether your teeth are crowded together, overlapped, or have spaces between them, the Powerprox Six Month Braces® Technique will give you the smile you always wanted in just six months. O’leary Dental also uses InMan Aligner or Clear Correct retainers as well.

Microscopic Dentistry

Magnification of up to 20x is used in several areas of dentistry that goes above and beyond the conventional “loops” used in most dental offices. Dr. O’Leary uses the microscope in all phases of restorative dentistry, through the preparation and placement. This insures the best fitting restoration possible.

This office is one the only of a select few throughout the state to offer this service. It not only assures the best fit available, it allows us to know we have done our absolute best to earn your trust.

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Treatment

TMJ refers to the Temporomandibular Joint dysfunction also referred also as TMD. When teeth, facial muscles and joints are out of alignment, pain and clicking of the joint can occur. Neuromuscular treatment focuses on the hard and soft tissues, muscles and nerves.

We treat the condition with the most conservative treatment possible. The severity of the condition does affect the type of treatment required. The goal is to reduce the stress on the chewing muscles and re-align the jaw for proper function in a non-surgical manner.

An initial evaluation will be conducted and an explanation of the cause of your symptoms provided, along with options for treatment. Not all cases can be resolved in this manner, but, the majority will have vastly improved results.

Treatments offered at O’Leary Dental are done in a comfortable and relaxed setting with options of nitrous oxide(laughing gas) and headphones with choice of music. Most all insurances accepted. “Participation” varies with specific providers and insurance plans. Inquiries or concerns can be discussed with staff or doctor at any time and if you have any questions about our services, or would like to schedule an appointment, don’t hesitate to contact us today!
